EXTRAGUARD™  EDGE PROTECTION SYSTEM

SGB EXTRAGUARD™ is systemised metal panel edge protection offering a higher standard of safety to reduce the risk of falls from height.

    

EXTRAGUARD™ is a multi-purpose system with a range of options using a standard guardrail post and unique fixings for:

• Flat Slab
• Socket base for bolting into slab
• Formwork beams
• Upstand beams

 

EXTRAGUARD™comprises a combination of patented clamping devices, posts and full-mesh panels with a unique triple wire construction.  This gives the mesh an unrivalled rigidity and also protects the edges of the mesh from damage.  The panel has a galvanised and powder-coated high visibility yellow finish and incorporates an integral toeboard.

New Safety Standard

The new prEN 13374 'Temporary Edge Protection Systems' is the very first British/European Standard to be written solely for edge protection.  The new requirements fundamentally change the approach to edge protection. In particular, they challenge the suitability of traditional tubular scaffolding materials for edge protection. The rigid triple wire EXTRAGUARD™  mesh panel fully meets these requirements.

Transportation

A special mesh pallet is available for safe and secure site transportation.
