Description Hanover Street School
Challenge Intricate elevations of curves, angles and projections of the building

Hanover Street School was opened in 1900 and has offered education to young children in Aberdeen for over 100 years. It is the first Victorian school building in Aberdeen City to be comprehensively upgraded and will act as a model for other Victorian school buildings within the city.

Providing access around the intricate elevations needed a scaffold system flexible enough to follow the curves, angles and projections of the distinctive five-storey building. The CUPLOK® structure erected by SGB (Formerly Harsco Infrastructure) also incorporated loading platforms and staircases as well as a range of additional work platforms around the intricate pitched roof and chimneys.
